Agency for Clinical Innovation (ACI)

The Agency for Clinical Innovation (ACI) is the lead agency for innovation in clinical care. We bring consumers, clinicians and healthcare managers together to support the design, assessment and implementation of clinical innovations across the NSW public health system to change the way that care is delivered.

The ACI’s clinical networks, institutes and taskforces are chaired by senior clinicians and consumers who have a keen interest and track record in innovative clinical care. The ACI strives for innovations that are person-centred, clinically-led, evidence-based and value-driven.

The ACI also works closely with the Ministry of Health and the four other pillars of NSW Health to pilot, scale and spread solutions to healthcare system-wide challenges. We seek to improve the care and outcomes for patients by re-designing and transforming the NSW public health system.

Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine (ACRRM)

The Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine (ACRRM) is the only College in Australia dedicated to rural and remote medicine.

We are accredited by the Australian Medical Council to set professional medical standards for training, assessment, certification and continuing professional development in the specialty of general practice, and are committed to the National Rural Generalists Pathway.

We deliver sustainable, high-quality health services to rural and remote communities by providing:

  • quality education programs which focus on rural generalism
  • strong representation for doctors who serve rural and remote communities
  • support at every career stage from medical student through to Fellow.

The Royal Australian College of General Practitioner Practitioners (RACGP)

RACGP Rural is Australia’s largest representative body of rural GPs providing advocacy, education and support for rural and remote communities by: 

  • Contributing to rural health policy reforms and providing a strong voice on key issues
  • Delivering the Fellowship in Advanced Rural General Practice (FARGP)
  • Delivering education activities including webinars and active learning modules (ALMs) to develop or maintain your clinical skills and support lifelong learning
  • Administering the Rural Procedural Grants Program to provide financial assistance for procedural GPs in rural and remote areas to complete education activities
  • Providing a range of guidelines, policies and updates to assist rural registrars and GPs.
